Writer and translator

Unfortunately, our writer and translator has left us recently, but our misfortune could be your chance to prove your skills as head of communication for our NGO! You would work in all the areas where written words are needed: On the website, in social media and also in print.

The main tasks in this interesting position are:

  • Writing texts for our website, social media, printed media and newspaper articles
  • Communicate with newspapers, journalists and other publishers
  • Translating the above mentioned texts between English and German

What may help you doing these tasks:

  • Experience in marketing, PR and networking
  • Flawless and high-standard use of the English language
  • Very good knowledge of the German language
  • Sense for the corporate identity and core values of our NGO

However, these are only guidelines and are not compulsory. The estimated working hours are four hours per week. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Head of logistics

We are urgently looking for a new companion in the field logistics. Your tasks will include the co-ordination of stocks and shippings of our online shop and working out new retail contacts. You will work mainly with Jana, who will be conducting the induction into the position.

The main tasks in this interesting position are:

  • Co-ordinating the production in Malawi with the sales in Germany
  • Organising the transport of the products to Germany
  • General communications with the Malawian team
  • Keeping track of stocks for online and festival sales
  • Acting as first point of contact for our retail partners

What may help you doing these tasks:

  • Experiences in online shops and IT administration
  • Good networking skills
  • Marketing and promotion skills
  • Good English skills

However, these are only guidelines and are not compulsory. The estimated working hours are five hours per week. This is described as the leading position of this department, but please get in touch with us even if you would like to work in this field only as support. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Our web team needs support, especially at maintaining and expanding our website. If you start in this domain, you will work with Felix on keeping our site up to date, designing and implementing new content and delivering the best possible experience to all visitors to our homepage.

The main tasks in this interesting position are:

  • Maintenance of the website in general
  • Keeping the event calendar, press review and the team page up to date in particular
  • Coding new contents
  • Corresponding with our technical partners

What may help you doing these tasks:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
  • Experience in web hosting and FTP
  • A basic sense for design and layout

However, these are only guidelines and are not compulsory. The estimated working hours are two to six hours per week, depending on what's on at the moment. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
